Mia Katrin has a Doctorate in Aesthetics from the University of Chicago and is a member of the American Gem Trade Association. Katrin taught philosophy before travelling throughout the world. In her travels, she made notable contacts with gem brokers from India, Sri Lanka, Brazil and Colombia and began her own brokerage business. It wasn’t long before she was using her good connections to create her own sensational designs. In her travels around the world, Mia has also collected unique precious gems from Thailand, India and Europe.  Several pieces incorporating precious gems such as multicolored sapphires, emeralds, rubies, diamonds and Tahitian pearls in 18 to 22 karat gold and platinum are featured at the gallery. Her award-winning designs, which have been worn by A-List Hollywood celebrities, are featured in top galleries and stores around the country, including those in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boca Raton, Philadelphia, Asheville, Charlotte, and Charleston. Carlton Gallery is pleased to display her work.
